20 WEEKS AND COUNTING

So I have hit the 20 week mark.

I AM HALFWAY THERE!!

Morning sickness has not come back, I have more energy and peanut is giving me a bigger "bump" so I actually look pregnant now, see....

As far as my cravings go, I have a strange taste for anything sour. I want pickles ( go figure), mustard and I am loving vinegar . Vinegar has been the craving I find to be the most strange. I am eating it on fries, rice , salads and sandwiches ! Other than that, the only cravings I get are when people mention a certain food. I won't think about it until someone says they want a certain food and then I can't get it out of my head. So everyone else is in control of what I eat now lol.

My doctor said I should feel peanut moving before my next appointment but I wasn't sure how I would know. I had been feeling some pains for the last two weeks and wondered if that was it but I am new to this . In the past two days, I have grown more certain that I am feeling peanut moving around in there. When I was sleeping and turned on my left side, I could feel pressure moving from my belly button to my left side and I think it was peanut settling back in a comfortable sleeping place. Another time is when I leaned over to tie my friends daughter's shoe, I felt a sharp pain and I think it was peanut saying "Get off of me, your squishing me in here!" Haha. But last night I am sure it was peanut because this time the movement felt like a little "flutter". Maybe a tiny punch or kick. Honestly I wouldn't be suprised if peanut was doing flips as much as we have seen him/her moving on the screen at the doctors office. This is one hyper child! Lord please give me energy now haha!

And the best highlight of all....ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL WE KNOW IF PEANUT IS A BOY OR A GIRL!! Peanut, I will love you no matter what you are :)

Baby Bump - Week 17!

This is my first post on my pregnancy. It is more or less a journal for myself and mostly for my now distant family in Brazil!(and of course my family & friends here) Sorry guys that it took me this long to post but honestly there was nothing THAT interesting in the begining. I probably would have just complained about how sick I was for three months and you wouldn't want to read it anymore. haha!

So I am hoping for a girl! Thinking PINK! Clay is thinking BLUE ! As usual, we don't agree on most things but we have come to love that about each other.

The wait will hopefully end on February the 8th because Clay and I are going to get an ultrasound to find out what we're having. I WILL be drinking some coke to get this little guy or girl hyper and wiggly. I'm not a bad mom for that, am I ? lol ...I really can't wait to know what we are having so we can decorate and buy everything in miniature sizes.

Oh, and name the baby! For a girl we like Izabella. For a boy we are not sure but we might like Conner. I don't think I can settle in on a name until I know what it is, but we will keep you posted. Until then, we call it "Peanut" because "it" just sounds so mean.
